CHAPTER [2] AMINO ACID AND PEPTIDES

 (2/16/2016)

Peptides

Two amino acids molecular may be jointed to yield a dipeptide through a peptide bond, formed by removal of a water molecule from the carboxyl group of one amino acids and the a-amino group of other by the action of strong condensing agents, three amino acids may be jointed in a similar manner to form a tripeptide,

Peptides are named from the sequence of their constituent amino acid, beginning from the amino terminal end, when many amino acids residue are jointed in a long chain, it is called poly-peptide

Serine = C3H7NO3 = 106.75 m/g

Amide ion = NH2 = 16.5 m/g

For example = a2 / b2 = c2

    Serine = a2 = 106.75 and b2 = 26.28 Chromosomes

              = a2 / b2 = c2

              = 106.75 / 26.28 = c2

              = 11395.5625 / 690.6384 = 16.5

          c2 = 16.5 = Amide ion = NH2 from 26 Chromosomes,

PEPTIDE BOND OF SERINE = C – O – NH4

Serine = a2 = 11395.5625 / 16 (O) = 712.22265625

                  = 712.22265625 / 12 (C) = 59.351888020833333333333333333333

                  = 59.35188802 / 14 (N) = 4.23

                  = Peptide bond of serine = C – O – NH4 by 26 Chromosomes

Structure of a pentopeptide, peptides are beginning with the NH2-terminal residue the peptide bond with react of 26 Chromosomes,
