CHAPTER [3] PROTEINS

Proteins

(4/1/2016)

Amino Acid Composition of Proteins:

It is amazing that all the different types of proteins are initially synthesized as polymers of only 20 amino acids, known as the common amino acids, the common amino acids are defined as those amino acids for which a specific codon exists in the DNA genetic code, there are 20 amino acids for which DNA codon are known, the process of the reading of the DNA code, resulting in the polymerization of amino acids of a specific sequence into the proteins based on the DNA code, In this chapter we shall discus only the protein of this genetically controlled synthetic process,

For example

Histidine = C6H9N3O2 = 157.25 m/g

Histidine = CAU, CAC, = mRNA Codons

(CYTOSINE)

  = a2 + b2 = c2

  = a2 = Histidine and b2 = Cytosine = c2

  = a2 = 157.25 m/g and b2 = 111.1 g/mol = c2

  = a157.25 + b111.1 = c2

  = 24727.5625 + 12343.21 = c2

  = a + b = 37070.7725 = c2

  = a + b = 37070.7725 / 111.22 (Hemoglobin CO2 + H2O -> H+ + HCO3 = 125 – 14 N removal = 111) = 333.3

  = a + b = 333.3 / 111.1 (C) = 3

  = a + b = 3 Cytosine from Histidine polymerization,

mRNA Histidine Basic = 3 Cytosine

tRNA Histidine Basic = 0 Cytosine

(URACIL)

  = a2 + b2 = c2

  = a2 = Histidine and b2 = Uracil = c2

  = a2 = 157.25 m/g and b2 = 112.0868 g/mol = c2

  = a157.25 + b112.0868 = c2

  = 24727.5625 + 12563.45073424 = c2

  = a + b = 37291.01323424 = c2

  = a + b = 37291.01323424 / 332.69 (5(CH2OH) + C6H12O6 = 341.75 – 7.4 pH blood plasma + H2 = 331.85) = 112.09

  = a + b = 112.09 / 112.0868 (U) = 1

  = a + b = 1 Uracil from Histidine polymerization,

mRNA Histidine Basic = 1 Uracil

tRNA Histidine Basic = 0 Uracil

(ADENINE)

  = a2 + b2 = c2

  = a2 = Histidine and b2 = Adenine = c2

  = a2 = 157.25 m/g and b2 = 135.13 g/mol = c2

  = a157.25 + b135.13 = c2

  = 24727.5625 + 18260.1169 = c2

  = a + b = 42987.6794 = c2

  = a + b = 42987.6794 / 159.06 (2(CH3COOH) 122 + 37 (2H2O) = 159) = 270.26

  = a + b = 270.26 / 135.13 (A) = 2

  = a + b = 2 Adenine from Histidine polymerization,

mRNA Histidine Basic = 2 Adenine

tRNA Histidine Basic = 0 Adenine

Total Codons = C3 + U1 + A2 + = 6

Histidine = CAU, CAC, = mRNA Codons

There are 20 amino acids for which mRNA codon are known, the process of the reading of the mRNA code, resulting in the polymerization of amino acids of a specific sequence into the proteins based on the mRNA code,

The genetically controlled synthetic process =

= (Hemoglobin CO2 + H2O -> H+ + HCO3 = 125 – 14 N removal = 111)

= (5(CH2OH) + C6H12O6 = 341.75 – 7.4 pH blood plasma + H2 = 331.85)

= (2(CH3COOH) 122 + 37 (2H2O) = 159) acetic acid and water

Main Functions of Histidine

Found in high concentrations in hemoglobin, (Hemoglobin CO2 + H2O -> H+ + HCO3 = 125 – 14 N removal = 111)

Useful in treating anemia due to relationship to hemoglobin, (Hemoglobin CO2 + H2O -> H+ + HCO3 = 125 – 14 N removal = 111)

Has been used to treat rheumatoid arthritis,

Precursor to histamine,

Associated with allergic response and has been used to treat allergy,

(2(CH3COOH) 122 + 37 (2H2O) = 159) acetic acid and water

Assists in maintaining proper blood pH, (5(CH2OH) + C6H12O6 = 341.75 – 7.4 pH blood plasma and H2 = 331.85)
