CHAPTER [3] PROTEINS

Proteins

(4/5/2016)

Amino Acid Composition of Proteins:

It is amazing that all the different types of proteins are initially synthesized as polymers of only 20 amino acids, known as the common amino acids, the common amino acids are defined as those amino acids for which a specific codon exists in the DNA genetic code, there are 20 amino acids for which DNA codon are known, the process of the reading of the DNA code, resulting in the polymerization of amino acids of a specific sequence into the proteins based on the DNA code, In this chapter we shall discus only the protein of this genetically controlled synthetic process,

For example

Lysine = C6H14N2O2 = 149.5 m/g

Lysine = AAA, AAG, = mRNA Codons

(GUANINE)

  = a2 + b2 = c2

  = a2 = Lysine and b2 = Guanine = c2

  = a2 = 149.5 m/g and b2 = 151.13 g/mol = c2

  = a149.5 + b151.13 = c2

  = 22350.25 + 22840.2769 = c2

  = a + b = 45190.5269 = c2

  = a + b = 45190.5269 / 299.01 (5Ca, 3, CH2, COO- H2O, H4) = 151.13

  = a + b = 151.13 / 151.13 (G) = 1

  = a + b = 1 Guanine for mRNA Lysine,

mRNA Lysine Basic = 1 Guanine

tRNA Lysine Basic = 0 Guanine

(ADENINE)

  = a2 + b2 = c2

  = a2 = Lysine and b2 = Adenine = c2

  = a2 = 149.5 m/g and b2 = 135.13 g/mol = c2

  = a149.5 + b135.13 = c2

  = 22350.25 + 18260.1169 = c2

  = a + b = 40610.3669 = c2

  = a + b = 40610.3669 / 60.10 (COOH + CH2) = 675.65

  = a + b = 675.65 / 135.13 (A) = 5

  = a + b = 5 Adenine for mRNA Lysine,

mRNA Lysine Basic = 5 Adenine

tRNA Lysine Basic = 0 Adenine

Total Codons = G1 + A5 + = 6

Lysine = AAA, AAG, = mRNA Codons

There are 20 amino acids for which mRNA codon are known, the process of the reading of the mRNA code, resulting in the polymerization of amino acids of a specific sequence into the proteins based on the mRNA code,

The genetically controlled synthetic process =

= (5Ca, 3, CH2, COO- H2O, H4)

= (COOH + CH2)

Main Functions of Lysine

Inhibits viral growth and, as a result, (COOH + CH2)

Is used in the treatment of Herpes Simplex,

As well as the viruses associated with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, such as: Epstein-Barr Virus, CytoMegalo Virus, and HHV6. (5Ca, 3, CH2, COO- H2O, H4)

L-Carnitine is formed from Lysine and Vitamin C, (5Ca, 3, CH2, COO- H2O, H4)

Helps form collagen, the connective tissue present in bones, (5Ca, 3, CH2, COO- H2O, H4)

Ligaments, tendons, and joints, (5Ca, 3, CH2, COO- H2O, H4)

Assists in the absorption of calcium, (5Ca, 3, CH2, COO- H2O, H4)

Essential for children, as it is critical for bone formation, (5Ca, 3, CH2, COO- H2O, H4)

Involved in hormone production, (COOH + CH2)

Lowers serum triglyceride levels, (COOH + CH2)
